Not giving up!

Yesterday I was looking over the garden when in flew my pesky Blue Heron. He, she or it will just not give up on the prospect of a Koi dinner. You will see him just on the left of the Wisteria planning how to get one of the big fish out of the water and into his gullet. "They are too big, you great twit"!

  1. My mother in law told me the other day that if you put a pretend Heron by the pond the real ones won't come near as they're territorial and so won't intrude on another birds plot.

  2. I can't say as I blame him. Your garden is gorgeous and he's probably hoping for a baby or two... ;)

Happy Thursday to you all, Doc! :)

  3. My friends who have koi ponds always complain about the raccoons coming for a meal, never an uninvited heron! :-)

  4. Doc, I do sympathise, between them the grass snakes and the herons have taken almost all our fish from the pond, and the grass snakes eat the frogs and newts too! Kathy
