This blog is hopefully going to prompt me to keep better records of the goings on in my garden and home.

In The Garden
Phlomis russeliana, I brought home one four inch pot of this plant from a neighborhood plant trade. It has proved to be very hardy and Mema loves the dried flower heads for her fall and winter arrangements.
Thanks for stopping, I was very happy with it because I knew nothing of it at the time. Also it forms such a nice weed barrier as well. It is native to Syria and is commonly called Jerusalem Sage. Let me know if you would like any seeds from the stand that I have.
What a kind offer Doc, and I'm sorely tempted to take you up on it, but I think I will get a plant or two from the garden centre, if I can get it growing this year I will hopefully save myself a bit of time. I really like the sound of it. Many thanks, kathy
I saw this lovely plant recently in someone's garden, and couldn't remember what it was, thanks for the reminder.
