This time of year I am normally so busy in the garden that I usually only work three to four days at the office and then spend the rest of the week happy as a lark with gardening, planting the seed trays in the greenhouse, traveling around to nurseries looking for bargains. But everything is under snow and the insulation is still up in the greenhouse which is still full of the stored non winter hardy plants which take up all the room needed for the seed trays. I pruned my roses on schedule in the last week of February and first week of March, but with this snow fall they will most likely suffer cane damage.

I was recently asked why I have not posted lately, well there is not much to post for a garden blog when one has no garden to post about......I NEED SPRING!!!!

With the bad weather I get to spend more time with the "Little Terrorists". This is #3 Lucy Ann sleeping in my arms while.........   .........#1 and #2 go crazy just a few feet from us. |
I don't know but I think I can feel that pout from here! If I could bottle up some warm weather I sure would and send it Overnight Express...this is an 5 alarm emergency we've got here! Now I'm ringing my hands over the roses...and no room for starting seeds...oh my gosh the corners of my mouth are starting to droop! But hey you've got the "Little Terrorists" to brighten your day! Did that snap you out of it....oh my well I tried ;-)

The roses can be replaced. I am going to hurry home in the snow as all three of the Little Terrorists are there today.
DeleteI am sure your roses will make it. We had a very brief warm spell here but we are now back in the highs of 30's to 40's. Total bummer!

ReplyDeleteOur weird Oregon weather went from two inches of snow and the next day 51 degrees and sunshine. I checked the roses and it looks good, no tip damage. We had a good weekend but expect rain the rest of the week. Welcome to my blog :o)
