It Would Seem Winter Has Not Finished With Us

Last week we walked in the warm sunshine taking photos of the masses of crocuses

This is what we woke up to

Traffic cone or Christmas tree?

Yesterday I was just admiring the beautiful flowers on my Egyptian paper plant

  1. Five days of fifties and sixties and constant rain here, changing to continued moisture the next five days--snow. I just glanced over to Followers and see two pictures of myself. There's Elaine in Lincolnshire, right by the original me.

    1. Joanne, I am terrible with computers, in fact this is my first post in a very long time. I shall endeavor to clean things up.

  2. The world has gone mad. After heatwaves here cyclone Gita hit with devastation in the South Island. Luckily it missed us but we have had temperatures in the early 30's centigrade with high humidity. Lots of unseasonable rain - today started cool but has heated up with thunder in the distance. I hope your plants are all right under that snow. Love the cruocuses

    1. Yes, and there are those that say no such thing as global warming. I would like to hit him with a snowball.

  3. Our weather is much the same. Can't rely on the weather around here. But, you have been preparing for spring in your greenhouse, haven't you? I've only planted half the onions. I have got to prune, clean up etc. before things get out of control. We finally got some rain.

    1. Hi Donna, yes the greenhouse is thriving and I have managed to keep ahead of the gardens. I’m happy that I held off doing the final pruning in the rose garden on Presidents’ Day, if I had done it on schedule with this snowfall I would be replacing roses.
