"Historical Endeavour" Update


I shall update this post occasionally as I promised Matron of "Down on the Allotment" blog. If any of you are interested in growing vegetables Matron is quite the vegetable guru so check it out.

  5. I can't wait to see what this bean looks like! Are they supposed to be dried beans? I'm trying some to be dried this year. My first time. Still not entirely sure what to do with them. I look forward to your updates on these beans!

  6. Holly,
    When your beans grow just leave them on the vine until they mature, they will get large and change color. That is when you pick them and remove the beans, dry them on a paper towel in a sunny window if need be and then package for use in cooking or for growing the following year. We harvest the beans for the table but I always leave a number on the vine for use next growing season.
